Departmental Committee of bicycle tourism

The Departmental Committee of bicycle tourism (CODEP91) offers on its website many ideas for mountain bike and cycling road trips in Essonne. It lists about twenty detailed routes as well as about thirty detailed mountain bike routes.

For each route, it is possible to download the corresponding GPS tracks. You will also find events calendar of cyclotouristic excursions, contacts for 70 cycling clubs or associations as well as all practical informations to organize an event and to practice this activity in complete safety. If you encounter problems in your way, you will be able to report the anomalies in the FAIDAIR file downloadable on the website.

Between developed trails, greenways, small marked roads and forest paths, this cycling route takes you from Paris to the Bièvre Valley, in the heart of the Chevreuse valley, the Perche and the Normandy grove. Scandibérique

The “Scandibérique” is the French part of EuroVelo 3, a European cycle route from Trondheim (Norway) to Santiago de Compostela (Spain). It crosses France from north-east to south-west over more than 1700 km and offers the longest cycle route in France.

Walking between plains and hills, historic towns and green spaces, the “Scandibérique” offers the opportunity to explore, through 20 departments and 6 regions, many terroirs, heritage and remarkable sites in France.
